Different road projects are set to begin in areas of southeast Iowa this week. The first project begins tomorrow in Washington County. Washington County Engineer Jacob Thorius says Elm Avenue will be closed to through traffic for almost five miles south of 250th Street. This one point seven million dollar paving project is set to be completed in four to five weeks and will provide a safer mode of transportation for area farmers and residents.
The second project starts today in Keokuk County. The project on highway 92 is over the Cedar Creek Bridge between Delta and Sigourney. This Iowa Department of Transportation project is scheduled to be completed by October 8th. Look at this story on kciiradio.com to see the posted detour for this project.
