Even with scattered showers and cooler temperatures, crop conditions showed little change over the last week, this according to the USDA’s latest Crop and Weather Report. Soil and subsoil conditions in southeast Iowa remain unchanged from past weeks, with the majority short or very short on moisture, despite the inch of rain we received since last Monday. Corn and soybeans are progressing ahead of schedule, but the percent considered being in poor or very poor condition remains high.
