A presentation was given recently to elected County officials on the status of road projects in the county.  County Engineer Jacob Thorius says in 2010, a plan was shared to make system-wide improvements.  This includes fixing hot spots, pave and grade high traffic areas and recover from many disasters and flooding events.

The twelve million dollars in projects were to be funded by general obligation bonds, county funds, private contributions and Washington County Riverboat Foundation grants.  Thorius says between the last two years, the county has completed 65 miles worth of work in 32 projects totaling around eight point one million dollars.  Thorius adds they have already started to get ready for projects that start next year.
