Initial and preliminary hearings were held today for the three political candidates and a Washington business charged with election misconduct. Jack Seward and Robert Yoder had trial information filed on their behalf, which takes the place of a preliminary hearing. Both have pled not guilty and have requested a speedy trial. Priscilla Marlar and Custom Impressions had their initial appearances and their preliminary hearing has been set for the 24th. The three individuals are being represented by an attorney, while Custom Impressions is still in the process of finding someone to represent them. According to County Attorney Larry Brock there will be no official hearing on the 24th, as Marlar and Custom Impressions will have already filed their trial information. A criminal charge is merely an accusation, and the person charged is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty. KCII will monitor this story and bring you more information when it becomes official.
