The Washington Demon football team is gearing up for another season, and they will start it at home against Mid-Prairie on August 24th.

The Demons don’t lose a lot of Seniors, but they do lose a few key position players such as Jake Redlinger at quarterback who threw for 11 touchdowns and over 1,200 yards.

The Demons do start off with area rival Mid-Prairie on their schedule, and head coach Randy Schrader is excited about it.

“It’s a Washington, Mid-Prairie game, that’s kind of a rivalry game, the kids get fired up for that and [Pete Cavanaugh] will have his team very well prepare and they’re a great a opponent for us to go out and mix it up right off the bat.

Washington will play two away games before coming back home for Homecoming on September 14th against Marion.

The Demons will also face Mt. Pleasant this year on October 5th, the third to last game on the schedule.

Washington finished tied for third in their district last year with a 4-3 record.
