The ground in southeast Iowa remains severely dry, this according to the latest information released by the National Climatic Data Center.  The small amount of rainfall received last week did little to improve the conditions.  Approximately two-thirds of Iowa is experiencing an extreme drought.

The conditions are not expected to improve any time soon as forecasts through the end of November are showing the drought conditions to remain the same.

KCII will continue to monitor the drought conditions across southeast Iowa.
