Washington’s Farmers Market is still going strong with not much time left in the market’s season. Market Master Bob Shepherd says the market has been busy each week with customers as well as good growers and bakers.  He says this week, they are having the 13th Annual “Taster’s Choice Salsa Contest” as part of the market.

Shepherd says the patrons of the market sample each numbered entry to pick the winners.  He notes he is looking forward to the upcoming markets this fall because of the changing leaves and cooler weather.

Barring really cold weather, the Farmer’s Markets will run through the month of October.  Tonight’s Farmer’s Market begins at 5:00 on the square.
