Initial Court Appearance Date Set

An initial court appearance date has been set for three local political candidates and a Washington business.In a story heard previously on KCII, criminal charges were brought against 56 year old Jack Seward of West Chester, 24 year old Priscilla Marlar of rural Washington County and Custom Impressions of Washington.  They will make their initial appearances next week.

In addition, a preliminary hearing has been set for 57 year old Robert Yoder of Kalona who filed a written initial appearance through his attorney.

The initial appearances and preliminary hearing are set for next Friday, August 10th at 9:00 in the Iowa District Court in Washington County at the Washington County Courthouse.

A criminal charge is merely an accusation, and the person charged is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty in court.  KCII will continue to monitor this story and bring you more information when it becomes official.
