Those thinking about investing or just wanting to know more about managing finance have an opportunity to learn how early next year. Washington Library Director Debbie Stanton says she has heard positive reviews about the “Smart Investing at Your Library” class after the Kalona Library offered it last year. This is geared toward first time investors, those preparing for retirement and those who are retired.
She says those attending will go to the first and last classes in person, and study at their own during the middle. Stanton says Washington is one of 18 libraries across the state that is offering this class.
She adds the class is funded by a grant from Iowa Library Services and the ISU Extension. The six week class begins in February next year.
