Iowa will be well represented at this year’s Paralympics in London. Matt Stutzman is originally from Kalona and will be competing in archery, something he does without arms.

Stutzman shares that he started archery 2 and a half years ago and in the beginning was practicing 8 hours a day.

In addition to making the Paralympic team, he has drawn national attention breaking the world record for longest shot in archery.

Nicknamed the “Armless Archer” or “Inspirational Archer”, Stutzman has the opening ceremonies today and will start his first day of competition tomorrow.
