Columbus School District’s new superintendent used the summer to prepare for the upcoming school year.
Over the summer Marlene Johnson got to know her new community by going to meetings around town to work on partnerships with the district. She also talked to the different school committees to see where they’re excelling and where there could be improvement.
According to Johnson one of the things she likes about the district is the level of involvement from those in the community. Columbus starts school next Tuesday.
