The first of many construction projects is about to begin in Washington.  City Administrator Brent Hinson says reconstruction is being done on South Avenue E from north of Sitler Drive to Tyler Street or the back side of the new high school.  He says the current street is seal coated and does not have curb and gutters.

This construction project was awarded to Horsefield Construction out of Epworth for a little over $223,000.  Hinson says work is scheduled to start soon and will be completed by the end of September.

He adds this is the first of many construction projects planned over the next few years.
