The second round of bids will be opened at a public hearing tomorrow night in Columbus Junction. At the public hearing the bids for a new water treatment plant will be opened and reviewed with the city engineer.

According to Columbus Junction City Clerk, Julie Heindel, the organizations helping with funding will need to approve the Councils choice before a formal decision can be made.

The first round of bid letting led to changes in the plan, as they were all at least 1 million dollars over budget.
