Washington Demon baseball player Jake Redlinger has been named first team all-state for this play in centerfield.

This is the first, first team all-state selection for the Demons since 1998 when current head coach Nathan Miller was named for his pitching.

Redlinger hit .377 for the year, and slugged .689. He had seven doubles, seven triples, four homers and 42 RBI’s.

Miller said Redlinger deserves this award, and is one of the few that can say he was part of the varsity team for all four years.

“Jake’s been a corner stone of our outfield for four years, I haven’t checked the record books yet, but he has to own the record for most games started as a player,” Miller said. “He’s had over 120 starts in the outfield in the last four years, and there are not a lot of kids who can say they started 120 high school baseball games, and he has been a visible part of the lineup for four years.

Baseball was the third state event for Redlinger in two sports seasons.
