The WACO football team is looking to keep success on the field despite losing seniors.

The Warriors finished in third place last year, only losing to Lone Tree and state champs Lisbon in the regular season, and then losing the post season opener.

This year, WACO opens up with Columbus Junction at home, and then moves onto North Mahaska.

The first big test for WACO will be the third game of the season against Lone Tree on September 7th.

WACO’s homecoming is the next week as they host Danville, before traveling to Lisbon the week after.

The Warriors finish their season on the road against Highland.

WACO lost the their only two games last year by giving up 95 total points combined to Lone Tree and Lisbon.
