The WACO warriors are 1-0 this season after beating Columbus Junction last night 40-18.

Columbus Junction was on the board first with a touchdown, but it was WACO who came right back and got two of their own, including a 53 yard run by Tucker Janecek.

In the second half Columbus started the scoring again, followed by three straight WACO touchdowns.

Janecek had only seven carries, but had 219 yards and four touchdowns, including the first 53 yard touchdown, and one’s from 52, 32 and 65 yards out.

WACO is now 1-0 and play at North Mahaska, New Sharon next week while the 0-1 Wildcats host Wapello.
