The WACO volleyball team made a good showing at their home tournament last night taking third.

The team had a 3-1 record in the tournament, going 2-1 in pool play.

Head coach Tom Ferguson said he was happy with how his girls came back in the tournament.

“I was pleased with the way we played, we had some times where we struggled and we weren’t in sync, but our girls overcame some obstacles,” Ferguson said.

WACO did come back from being down 8-0 in a game against Van Buren to take the win, and also made a come back against Columbus.

Iowa Valley was the winner of the tournament, going 4-0 and winning the championship match over Wapello.

The Warrior varsity team won’t be in action for awhile, but JV will play this Thursday and next week at their home JV tournament.
