A Washington school has been able to complete a project that has spanned two school years.  April Cuddeback says Stewart Boosters started working on a project in April of last year to secure a grant from the Iowa Grocery Industry Association and Build with Bags Program.  The grant funded materials for sandboxes which were built during the last school year as an extra play area on the playground.

She says the kids were able to use the boxes last year after a snowfall and will be excited this year to play in the sand.  Cuddeback notes when the boxes are not being used, they will be covered to keep out the weather and animals.

The sand delivered and donated by River Products Company yesterday will be put into the boxes over the weekend so they will be ready by the first day of school next week.
