The Washington Demons get back to district action tonight as they host Keokuk at Case Field.
Washington comes off a tough loss to Marion, last week, and a tougher loss in losing Kyle Roder to injury for 2-4 weeks.
The Demons have shown some ability to pass with Daryn Seibelius having 409 yards passing and two touchdowns with no picks.
The ground game has 488 yards and six touchdowns on the year.
For Keokuk, they are lead by Gabe Vandenburg, a relative of Iowa Hawkeye quarterback James Vandenburg.
They have 769 yards on the ground and 10 touchdowns, and will throw it as well, with 826 yards through the air and eight touchdowns with four interceptions.
Demon head coach Randy Schrader says the goal of tonight game is to score in the red zone.
“We have to finish, we have to finish our drives, we have to finish our first drive,” Schrader said. “I expect our defense to come play, that’s not an issue, but we do have to control the ground game, make them throw the football. But our mantra tonight is finish, and if our kids do that, and fly around and have a good time and enjoy themselves under the lights, it could be a happy ending around 9:30 tonight.”
