This ceremony held at the Washington High School included a speech by Cheyenne Cuddeback-Miller who spoke about the importance of learning the stories from World War II Veterans, Washington Mayor Sandra Johnson and Congressman Dave Loebsack.
He tells KCII News he attends as many of these ceremonies as he can. Congressman Loebsack presented a flag that was flown over the U.S. Capitol to the Washington County Veterans Commission and presented the veterans with copies of a Congressional Record Statement honoring their service as well.
Listen to KCII during the day today as we are traveling with the Honor Flight and will be bringing you updates of the events happening in our nation’s capital.
