Goals for the superintendent was part of a focus during the Washington School Board meeting last night.  These four goals cover areas of a committee formation to identify and address communication gaps, continued expansion of the board’s proficiency goals, the development of a three-year and annual review of the district’s facilities and the continued effort to encourage parental involvement.

These goals are for this fiscal year.  They also agreed to a 12-year Tax Increment Finance request from the city of Washington for the Oakwood Village Subdivision.  This agreement is similar to the one approved by the Board of Supervisors last week.

Approval was also given to send one Board member to the Iowa Association of School Board meeting in November.
