A group that promotes tourism in eastern Iowa was in Washington yesterday to learn more about what the community has to offer.  [simage=4204,200,n,center]

Michelle Peiffer from the Washington Chamber of Commerce says the Director from the Eastern Iowa Tourism Association was invited to see what’s new and provide interaction with the citizens of Washington as a way for them to share what they see and hear from visitors to the community.

Peiffer says the Association helps to spread the word about what eastern Iowa has to offer on a national scale.  She notes the goal of hosting this group is to get people excited and proud of Washington.
