The status of a new campus building in Washington is moving forward.  Tera Pickens from the Kirkwood Washington Center says now that the annexation of the land has been approved by the City Council, the college can move forward with the plans.  She says after the corn that is on the land is harvested, geological surveys will be conducted and the project will be sent out for bidding in the late winter or early spring.

Pickens says their current building has less than six thousand feet and new building will have over 35,000.  She notes when the building is completed in the fall of next year, they will be able to offer more classes to high school students along with courses for adult learners.
