The Washington Demons will host Mid-Prairie tonight in volleyball.

The Demons are coming off a tough five set loss to Ft. Madison earlier in the week, while the Golden Hawks are on a seven game losing streak.

The Demons are 7-9, and have 8.1 kills per set, along with a .139 kill efficiency. Washington also has a serve efficiency of over .93.

Mid-Prairie is 5-7 and has 5.32 kills per set, but has a attack efficiency of .009. They have 67 aces on the year and average 9.77 digs per set.

Demon head coach Jeff Spenner says Mid-Prairie won’t let the Demons take any easy points.

“It’s going to be nice to see some local schools that are not in our conference because we see them all of the time,” Spenner said. “Mid-Prairie is a very good program from what I have heard, their young, but they are a very scrappy team, we don’t know a lot about them except for what the stats say, and that doesn’t always tell you everything like we found out [Tuesday], teams can surprise you. It’s one thing to be nice to play a local school, and it’s a nothing thing to start a rivalry that maybe we can get started.”

Washington and Mid-Prairie play tonight in Washington at 7:30.
