The Demon and IMS cross country teams ran at Fairfield last night and both finished well.

The Demons had both teams finish fifth in their division, while IMS had both teams finish fourth in theirs.

The Demons top girl runner was Stephanie Loy finishing 22nd in a time of 18:45. Other scorers for the Demons were Kaitlin Buchholz in 28th, Sarah Greiner in 30th, Maddie Bohr in 33rd and Jennie Green in 34th.

For the Demon boys, Curtis Vest lead the team again with a time of 19:17, good for 23rd. Other boy’s scorers were Logan Moeller in 35th, Austin Latchem in 36th, Brandon Rhinhart in 37th and Jiovanni Tapia rounded out the scorers for Washington.

The IMS girls were led by Renee Buckwalter who finished 11th with a time of 18:27. Other IMS girl’s scorers were Riley Schmieder in 18th, Camila Segar in 35th, Summer Schrock in 39th and Alvard Mamikonyan in 40th.

Head coach Martin Gingerich said Buckwalter had another great race, and that the rest of the girls are still improving.

For the IMS boys Cody Miller led the team finishing 5th with a time of 18:04. Following him was Kirby Shetler in 7th, Jacob Valov in 25th, Jacob Schmieder in 33rd and Richard Deming in 39th.

Gingerich said the boy’s team all improved in this race, with a couple knocking off a minute on their time.
