A grant from the Federal Government has been received in Washington County to help improve citizens’ health.  Edie Nebel with Washington County Public Health says the funding for the Community Transformation Grant was created by the Affordable Care Act.  She says they are approaching the end of the first of five years of funding.

Nebel says the funding helped them to provide bike racks in the communities of Washington County, help with the trails in the county and perform workplace assessments.  She says Washington County is one of 26 counties across the state to receive part of the three million dollars being dispersed.
