A court hearing was held in Washington yesterday to discuss records relating to another court case.  Several people were in attendance to hear arguments from Attorney Barb Edmondson and Washington County Attorney Larry Brock on the submission of evidence relating to election misconduct.  Edmondson has asked the court for the immediate release of items related to that case, the names of people that have related records and for dispositions from the parties that have knowledge of those records.

County Attorney Brock stated he has received all records except those from the Iowa Ethics Board and presented those during the hearing.  He added that his office has a public records policy and those records can be reviewed upon request.  Brock stated that he and other individuals who have knowledge of information should not have to give a deposition relating to the information being sought.

The judge hearing the case will consider the motions presented.  The trial for those involved in the election misconduct allegations is set for September 10th and KCII will monitor both of these stories and will bring you more information when it becomes official.
