A traffic enforcement program that started two weeks ago is getting ready to end.  The Washington County Sheriff’s Office along with the Iowa Department of Public Safety have been taking part in the “Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over” program where law enforcement officials are on the roadways looking for impaired drivers who put not only themselves but others at risk through Iowa’s special Traffic Enforcement Program (sTEP).

When this program was held in July, almost 300 alcohol and drug-related citations were issued.  This program started August 23rd and ends tomorrow.
