A new welcome sign is coming to the City of Keota. The sign will be located on Keokuk-Washington Road facing HW 92.

City Clerk Niki Osweiler says that all of the materials are ready and the sign could be put in as early as the end of the week, but adds there is no set date.

The cost of the sign was $1200. The City is also looking at putting up smaller signs on the roads that connect to Harper and Wellman. Osweiler shares this is in an effort to make the town more visible.
