A Washington County native representing Iowa at this year’s Paralympics in London has won a medal. Matt Stutzman is originally from Kalona and is competing in archery, something he does without arms. Stutzman has drawn national attention breaking the world record for longest shot in archery.

Nicknamed the “Armless Archer” or “Inspirational Archer,” Stutzman won silver in the Men’s Individual Compound – Open yesterday.
