A local master gardener is sharing some tips heading into the fall months. Washington County Master Gardener Sheila Gerot says you should continue weeding, because if you don’t your just making more work for yourself in the spring.
She adds that you should cut back any diseased plants with a powdery mildew, spots on the leaves or anything that looks out of the ordinary.
Gerot notes to throw it in the trash as the organism would continue to live if you would put it in a compost bin.
