Ordinances were changed in the city of Washington last night.  The Washington City Council adopted a resolution of adding a no parking zone on the east side of North Avenue E from West Main to West 2nd Street.  They also adopted a resolution of adding a site plan for future multi-family residential sites.

The Council talked about creating a no parking zone on the south side of North 2nd Avenue at East Third Street as well as making amendments to limited sight intersections.

The 2012 asphalt overlay project was discussed and a public hearing regarding the project is set for the October 3rd meeting.  This project will cover three different streets in the city.

A presentation was made by Paul Towner and Walt Stutzman of a special photograph to be displayed at City Hall of the Municipal Band’s 80th year in the community.
