A school gym in Washington is in the process of seeing some updates. Stewart Elementary School Principal Adam Miller says over the summer, the gym was painted, sound absorbers were added and they refinished the floor. He says these updates were made possible because of a grant from the Washington County Riverboat Foundation.
Principal Miller adds the project is about half completed as new basketball hoops will be added and shades will be added along the window side of the room. He notes the kids are enjoying the bright orange paint in the gym and the sound absorbers have reduced the amount of noise.
