With the temperatures dipping into the 40’s, some gardeners may be looking ahead to next spring. Washington County Master Gardener Sheila Gerot says that it’s still too early to be planting bulbs, even though you might see them for sale.

She shares that she will probably be planting her bulbs towards the end of October or early November, but notes that in the past she’s planted them as late as early December.

She adds that as long as you can get your garden spade in the ground, you still have time.
