Volunteering opportunities are still available in Columbus City. The Louisa County chapter of Habitat for Humanity is building a house in Columbus City at 2607 Burlington Street.

Trish Woepking with Louisa County Habitat for Humanity says they’re making good progress and should be putting on shingles by this weekend.

She shares the designated volunteering times are Wednesdays and Fridays from 8 in the morning until noon and Saturdays from 8 to 2pm. She adds they hope to have the home ready for the family by Thanksgiving.
