A Washington resident who led police on a brief chase early this morning has been arrested.  According to the Washington County Safety Center, a Washington Police officer attempted to pull over a vehicle at East 2nd Street and North 10th Avenue in Washington when the driver took off.  Officers followed 43 year old Melinda Katherine Schnicker to her residence and she was arrested by the Washington County Sheriff’s Office.

Schnicker has been charged with a 2nd offense of driving while intoxicated, eluding, interference with official acts, driving under suspension, failure to obey a stop sign and having an open container.  KCII will monitor this story and bring you more information when it becomes official.
