Washington and many communities across the country are coming together tomorrow to raise money for worldwide hunger projects. Lori Bauer with the Crop Walk says this is one of the oldest fundraising walks in the country as they were first held in 1969. She says prior to the Walk, no lunch will be served, but there will be snacks and beverages available during the walk.
Bauer notes the funds raised go to hunger causes around the world with 25% of the funds staying in Washington to benefit local food pantries. The Walk begins at 12:30 on the square tomorrow. To find out more information, contact Lori Bauer 319-461-4916.
