An annual event that draws many children each year is happening tonight.  The Washington County Conservation Board is holding their Halloween Hike with this year’s focus being “The Kitchen in the Woods.”  Naturalist Pam Holz says this is a not-so-scary alternative to Halloween activities and teaches people about nature at the same time.

She says the evening will consist of discussion about the food chain along with experiments on different types of plant eaters.

Holz adds in addition to information about carnivores, there will be a search for roasted marshmallows.  The hike runs from 6:45 to 8:00 tonight at Marr Park.  For more information, contact the Conservation Board.
