The results from this year’s Courage Ride are in. The Kalona bike ride, held this year in late August, was started by Tom and Jackie Bailey in honor of their son who died of Sarcoma, a type of cancer.

According to Marty Bunge with the race, all proceeds from the ride go to benefit the University of Iowa’s Holden Comprehensive Cancer Center’s research of the disease.

A total of 460 people took part in this year’s ride and raised over $35,000.  To date the event has raised almost $150,000.
