Changes to the county zoning and an amended agreement with Regional Utility Service Systems were approved at today’s Washington County Board meeting. After their second reading, minor text amendments and a map amendment dealing with the new FEMA mapping, were approved after the Supervisors opted to wave the third reading.

The Board also approved an amended and substituted joint agreement with R.U.S.S. which essentially revises the original agreement that was signed in 2007.

The biggest change to the agreement is that it now includes a project note that guarantees R.U.S.S. will be paid for the work they’ve done, should the County decide not to go through with the project.
