Case field has received a generous donation of 5000 dollars from West Chester Savings bank for improvements on the field.
Washington Community school superintendent Dr. Mike Jorgensen says the money was already used on the field new irrigation system and to build up the turf that had been beaten down from the years of playing on it, and that the bank will get something from the school as well.
“We actually work really well with all of our local banks and they all have contributed to different things,” Jorgensen said. “In exchange for the donations, we allow each of the banks some signage to help promote their business somewhere within our school district, usually involved with an athletic competition area, so West Chester Savings Bank is going to get a spot on our scoreboard which is usually equivalent to what we do with a 5000 dollar donation.”
Case Field and the new high school athletic facilities have all been helped greatly by the donations of sponsors and fans of Demon Athletics.
