In an attempt to get ready for next year, the Washington City Council is in the process of holding goal setting sessions.  City Administrator Brent Hinson says in preparation for their upcoming meeting, about 30 people have been involved in citizens’ focus groups as well as employees of the city to provide a viewpoint of what the community needs and wants.

He says when the Council gets together they will choose the higher priority items and plan for those needs by looking at the current resources on how to accomplish what needs to be done.

Hinson says a special meeting is being held on Wednesday, the 24th in the upstairs of the Library and the public will have some limited time to address the Council.  For more information on the upcoming goal setting meetings, contact Washington City Hall.
