In an attempt to get ready for next year, the Washington City Council is holding a goal setting session this week. City Administrator Brent Hinson says in preparation for this meeting, about 30 people were involved in citizens’ focus groups as well as employees of the city to provide a viewpoint of what the community needs and wants.
He says when the Council gets together they will choose the higher priority items and plan for those needs by looking at the current resources on how to accomplish what needs to be done.
Hinson says this special meeting is Wednesday night in the upstairs of the Library. He notes the public will have some limited time to address the Council as well. For more information on the upcoming goal setting meetings, contact Washington City Hall.
