A new way to teach children to brush their teeth is being highlighted during National Dental Hygiene Month. Sheila Temple from Washington County Public Health says the “2min2x” program encourages children to brush their teeth for two minutes, two times a day. She notes only 44 percent of parents report their child brushes their teeth at least twice a day.
This new program will promote healthier teeth, good breath, and fewer cavities along with helping to avoid painful dental problems in the future.
Temple says this program should be used in conjunction with regular dental visits. For more information, contact Washington County Public Health.
