Farmers who suffered production losses last year are encouraged to submit applications for federal assistance.  Bill Bartenhagen with the Washington County FSA office says the FSA’s Supplemental Revenue Assistance Program or SURE provides assistance payments to eligible producers on farms that have incurred crop production or quality losses.

Eligible farmers need to have suffered at least ten percent production loss on at least one crop of economic significance.  This program begins on the 22nd.  For more information, contact your local FSA office.
