The Highland boys cross country team won the district cross country meet last night, and punched their ticket to the state cross country meet on Saturday.

Highland won the meet with 59 points, ahead of second place Woodward Academy who had 86.

Evan Mahler finished in second at the meet with a time of 15:43, while Matt Eden was seventh with a time of 15:49.

IMS will also be represented on Saturday, as Cody Miller finished fourth overall in a time of 15:48.

Other team scores at the meet were Sigourney in eighth with 197, IMS in 10th with 235, WMU in 11th with 238, and Lone Tree in 15th with 378.
