IMS Has First Champion Since 2010

IMS ran at the Lake Darling Class at Fairfield last night, and had a couple of good races.

On the boys side Cody Miller became the first IMS champion since 2010 winning the meet with a time of 17:02.

Kirby Shetler wasn’t far behind with a third place finish in 17:32. Behind them were Jacob Valov in 20th, Jacob Schmieder in 24th and Kobi Russom in 43rd.

IMS finished fourth with 91 points.

On the girl’s side, Renee Buckwalter finished fourth in 16:32, and Riley Schmieder was sixth with a time of 17:08. Other scorers were Camila Segar in 26th, Alvard Mamikonyan in 32nd and Summer Schrock in 34th.

The girl’s team was the meet runner-up with 92, Pekin won the meet with 18.

IMS will run in Ottumwa next week for a chance at State.
