One of Washington County’s own is receiving an honor on a national stage. Lexi Marek of Riverside is one of 21 4Hers from the state who have been selected to represent Iowa as a delegate for the National 4H Congress.
The event will take place in Atlanta November 23rd-27th. Marek is a member of the Jackson Jets 4H Club, Washington County 4H County Council and has been involved in the organization for nine years working with swine, cattle, fashion, and home improvement while also serving as president, vice president, report and historian for her club.
She is the daughter of Tim and Heather Marek of Riverside.
