The Southeast Iowa Superconference cross country meet was held last night, and it was Pekin who took the win, with Lone Tree finishing third with 105 points.
Ella Feldman was the top runner for the girls with a time of 16:13 and finishing sixth, behind her was Paige Doehrmann in ninth, Alena Loan in 20th, Julie Wehmeyer in 28th and Allie Hietman in 43rd.
Columbus was the next area team with a fifth place finish, Caitlin Chaney finished at the top of the team in 14th with at time of 16:47, behind her was Grace Chapman in 26th, Taylor Hills in 30th, Ashley Canny in 35th and Claire Hamilton in 39th.
The Wildcats had 144 points
IMS was the final area team, finishing ninth, with Renee Buckwalter finishing at the top of the team in 21st with a time of 17:25, behind her was Riley Schmieder in 27th, Alvard Mamikonyan in 61st, Camilia Segar in 63rd and Summer Schrock in 74th.
IMS finished with 246 points.
Other area single finishers were Highland’s Sara Abolt in 50th and Megan Burk in 56th, and WMU’s Grace Edwards in 22nd and Karlie Wade in 38th.
All teams will get a week off to prepare for the district meet in two weeks.
