Mid-Prairie School District saw an increase in certified enrollment this year. According to Superintendent Mark Schneider last years certified enrollment came in at 1,175, this year that number rose to 1,222.

He shares when they see an increase like this they look to see if grades are staffed properly, but adds that this year the new students were spread evenly throughout the district.

Schneider mentions that each student in the district translates to $6,000 in spending authority. He says that the increase will give the district some more breathing room when dealing with the budget.
